I like my client’s holiday photos to be a surprise. I think they should be the first to share them. Now that the big rush is over I want to show you all the work I was busy with this Fall.

I’ll start with this darling family that happened to be my very last session before Christmas. The kids were so well behaved. They did a great job listening and we were able to get some darling images that will be forever cherished.

I love what I do. I especially love photographing families. I’m a sweaty mess by the time the session is done – but I get so in the zone I don’t even care. I love photographing families being… families. It’s fun, messy, crazy, wild and fleeting. What I do allows me to freeze time. Those little hands, little smiles – with sometimes crazy teeth… the candid image of your sweet baby looking off into the distance. It all goes too fast and I love the ability to create something that isn’t fleeting – a photograph to help you remember what it was like – where you were. It’s so wonderful. This family, well, one of my favorites, of course! We’ve known them for quite a long time but have had the pleasure of getting to know them better and spending a lot of great times together since our move to Grand Rapids. To know them is to love them! Here is your sneak peek – I think the outtakes are my favorites!

Sammie got all dolled up at Pomp & Artistry Boutique with Davina before we headed out to  the blue bridge and explored downtown photographing this gorgeous 2016 Senior as we walked along. We finished our session at a rustic red barn and field where the flowers were just exploding with color. Mom, daughter and I had a ball the whole time. There is still time to book your 2016 Senior Session – go HERE to book! In the meantime check out this babe!
